Here's a good factoid to retain... We were struggling with how to go about sending the computers to China round trip, but avoid accumulating ridiculous duties in the process. UPS and FedEx were not helpful on that route, nor was US Customs. We just about gave up when we stumbled across a document called an ATA Carnet that was established by an international treaty back in the 1960's. Basically, it allows a company to send non consumable goods on round trip journeys without paying duties and taxes on the value of the goods, provided they exit the country within the year. Problem solved.
